Education:
Right from the beginning of her career Jane has been continueously influenced by Raymond Harris Ching from his early works through to his most recent works. Other strong influences are Maori culture and spirituality, Michael Smither, Rita Angus, Colin McCahon,Bill Hammond and the New Zealand natural environment.

BIOGRAPHY
Jane was described at school as having an 'extremely sensitive eye", excelled with top marks in Art and Photography and gained national recognition on two occasions. She continued her studies in Graphic Design at Auckland Technical Institute, and now works full time as an artists. Her inspirations evolve through the energy and emotion of the present and from her inner spirit, in which she endeavours to portray positive messages of calm and personal growth to envelope and inspire. New Zealand's natural forms, textures and culture are a continued appearance in her work.
Jane's work sells throughout New Zealand and overseas.
Her work is currently represented by 'The Artist's Room' 2 Dowling St. (level one) Dunedin.
Jane works from her home studio. She lives in Pukekawa, Franklin, on a lifestyle property with her husband and 2 sons. She also gives her time as a volunteer firefighter with the Mercer Fire Brigade.
